Khan Academy App Reviews

This is a beta at best. I would call it an alpha. While a lot of the content of Khan academy is great and the interface with handwriting recognition is nice. But the app makes for a poor and annoying learning experience. The interface is full of stuff that is not important but its quite hard to find your way around as there is so little navigation/explanation. There must have been a popup maniac at work. Popups and dialogues are pestering all the time. And not just some but many on each new page. Very often they just dont work and you cannot even close them. The page just freezes, all the time. Unusable. Its the same on the webpage, really disappointing. There needs to be MUCH more focus on the essentials. This way it takes almost all the fun out of learning. For a learning program that is the worst I can say.

I really this application. The design is clearly and the videos are perfect. But I would heed it if you would add German as a second language. This advice would help a lot of people. Thank you.

When the phone goes into standby, or into background it resets the Video playback (can get quite annoying sometimes). Subtitles would also be nice. But overall I was happy and surprised that there is an app for khan academy! It really helps to get an overview over so many useful videos and topics! The app is free, the videos are free (not even ads) and videos can be downloaded and watched offline, so I dont have a reason to complain, this app is just awesome!!! (It even helps to improve my English skills).

Great app and content, but adding videos to lists (and, therefore, downloading) does not work under iOS 8.3. Would appreciate a fix.

Best app ever!

The project is amazing. I have never seen something like this before. Thanks to everyone who made this happen. 5 stars. Unfortunately the app does not run well on an iPad Pro 9.7 - cant watch videos and cant do exercises :( full of error messages

Im a biology student and just watched the first few intro videos of the category biology and chemistry of life. The explanations are very detailed (and easy to understand, also if you are not a scientist yet :P ) and the topics are well structured. There are many subcategories and up to now everything was scientifically correct. You dont have to watch the videos and just read what the lecturer says and go on at a chosen point again. Or stop the video and read again what he just said. He also always visualises what he says. All in all I already like this App very much and think Im probably gonna spend much time on watching videos.

Learning Math on the go using this App ist fun but it is pretty annoying that it doesnt seem to synchronyse your Progress properly

You cant get the right numbers or symbols with the stupid drawing board to submit your answers. Other options please

Really good app

Nothing against Khan academy, just want raise awareness that the app has serious bugs for K to 6 users. After installation, under math there will be primary grade content. After restarting the app, all those content just mysteriously disappears. And, when trying to search for the content, for example, search "3rd grade", it will return "3rd grade math warm up". You try to select, the app crashes. The website seems to acknowledge this bug but the solution is to "not use the app"!? Please fix this soon! I will adjust my rating accordingly.

I have an existing khan academy account but when I went to log in I typed in everything then it erased it all like I didnt log in.

Ive used this app before and it has been a huge help for me with math in the past, but, unfortunately, recently it has been glitching a lot! It wasnt saving videos to my list, it would freeze, glitch, lose all my content, videos wouldnt play, or play in different languages, etc. I tried redownloading it and restarting my phone but eventually I had to come to the conclusion that the problem was with the app. Im really disappointed because this was my go to math app, it was definitely way better than anything else Ive tried. And now Im preparing for a math exam feeling like Im at big a disadvantage not being able to use this app. I really hope that these things will be fixed and soon!!! Students really count on Khan Academy for at home help.

Helped a lot in reviewing for my nursing exams... Detailed lessons and very informative, easy to understand discussion. Kudos to everyone who made this app and best of all its free!

Khan academy is an amazing resource and this app brings all of the essentials to the mobile platform. The app is reliable, intuitive, and easy to use. I would highly recommend.

Why did the update take away split screen capabilities? It was so helpful while studying. Please bring it back! Otherwise this app is beyond awesome. Pre-med students should take advantage!

I love khan academy but this app is just frustrating to use, I could barely search something with out it crashing
